In May 2026, Hebei Chuihua Casting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hebei Chuihua) purchased a mesh belt pass-through shot blasting cleaning machine, a powerful new equipment to expand its production capacity of cast iron cookware while boosting production efficiency and product quality.


The mesh belt shot blasting machine is primarily designed for surface shot blasting treatment of thin-wall castings, delicate iron and aluminum alloy thin castings, ceramic components and other small parts. It can also perform shot peening strengthening on mechanical components. Featuring continuous operation, high cleaning efficiency, minimal workpiece deformation and no foundation pit requirement, the machine can operate independently or be integrated into automated production lines.


Cookware castings processed by this machine boast an even, consistent matte finish that greatly elevates the visual appeal of finished goods. It eliminates uneven discoloration, color differences and rust stains on raw cast blanks, delivering batches of cookware with unified color and silky matte texture, ensuring consistent appearance for all outgoing shipments. Furthermore, operators can adjust steel shot specifications to control surface grain coarseness and achieve the fine frosted texture requested by clients, eliminating the need for extra manual fine grinding.


Beyond superior exterior aesthetics, the shot blasting machine also enhances the intrinsic performance of cast iron cookware. First, cast iron retains inherent casting residual stress after cooling, which easily causes deformation of cookware during subsequent manufacturing processes and daily use. High-speed steel shot impacts from the shot blaster generate compressive stress on the workpiece surface to counteract internal tensile stress. As a result, cookware bodies are far less prone to warping or deformation during follow-up high-temperature nitriding, enameling and black coating procedures. It also reduces risks of bottom cracking and coating peeling during long-term high-temperature cooking, raising the finished product yield rate.Second, surface work hardening improves the durability and rust resistance of cast iron cookware, demonstrated in three key aspects:
  1. Cold extrusion hardens the surface metal layer to increase surface hardness, offering outstanding wear and impact resistance and preventing scratches and peeling during transportation and storage.

  2. The compact surface microstructure seals tiny sand holes and air pores on castings, slowing rust formation during daily use.

  3. Shot blasting creates uniform, fine uneven textures (anchor patterns). Micro pits trap cooking oil, making seasoning and maintenance of the cast iron pan much easier to build a stable oil film for improved non-stick performance.
